REPORT OF ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN THE MONTH OF JULY 2026
- Workshop on Mastering the ABC of Professional Excellence
The workshop on “Mastering the ABC of Professional Excellence” was successfully organized by the Skill Development & Placement Cell on July 22, 2026 at DS Hall from 9 am to 11 am for B.Com Students and 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for SFD students.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Sakshi Chandak Daga, alumni of our college and Personality Development and Communication Coach with over seven years of experience.The workshop provided valuable insights into professional etiquette, self-presentation, confidence building, and effective communication skills, which are essential for internships, placements, and future career opportunities. The workshop was attended by 406 students.
2. Workshop on Career Readiness: Resume Building, Interview Skills, Email Etiquette & Leveraging AI for Career Success
The workshop on “Career Readiness: Resume Building, Interview Skills, Email Etiquette & Leveraging AI for Career Success” was successfully organized by the Skill Development & Placement Cell on July 27, 2026 at DS Hall from 9.15 am to 11.15 am. The Workshop was conducted by CA Hrudyesh Pankhania, Founder of Maddo and Past Elected WIRC member. The speaker delivered valuable insights and guidance on resume building, interview preparation, email etiquette and the effective use of AI for career development in a highly interactive and engaging way. The workshop was attended by 270 students.
3. Workshop on “Pitch to Placement: Elevate your Introduction, Accelerate your Career”
The Skill Development and Placement Cell organized a workshop on ““Pitch to Placement: Elevate your Introduction, Accelerate your Career”” on July 28, 2026 from 9:15 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. at DS Hall. The session was conducted by Dr. Shivani Naik,Assistant Professor – Management, Kirit P Mehta School of Law, NMIMS.
The workshop began with an engaging activity on creating and elevating a 30-second self-introduction (elevator pitch) using AI tools. Participants learned how to present themselves confidently and effectively during interviews and networking opportunities.The resource person also introduced various AI-powered interview preparation tools that help candidates enhance their communication skill. The workshop was attended by 299 students.
4. Orientation Session for Free of Cost Courses by SVG Skill Development Institute
The Skill Development and Placement Cell organized an orientation session on the Free-of-Cost Courses offered by the SVG Skill Development Institute on July 28, 2026, from 11:20 a.m. to 12:00 noon at DS Hall. The primary objective of the session was to familiarize students with the various skill development programs available to them at no cost and to encourage them to enhance their employability by acquiring industry-relevant skills.
The orientation was conducted by Mr. Pushkar Damle, Program Advisor at Dr. Susheela Gandhi Skill Development Institute, along with a team of experienced faculty members, including Mr. Sandeep Borgaonkar, Accounts and TallyPrime Faculty; Mr. Abhijit Ambre, Faculty for the Web Design Course; Ms. Jhanvi Shah, Faculty for the English Proficiency Course; and Mr. Anuj Sharma, Faculty for the Data Visualization Course.
The team introduced the courses offered by the institute, explaining the curriculum, learning outcomes, and career opportunities associated with each program. The session was attended by 299 students.
