Marathi Literary Association

To celebrate Aashadhi Ekadashi, a cultural programme was organised in D.S. Auditorium on 15th July 2024. The Dindi, a procession by devotees of God Vitthal and Rakhumai, was performed by students and teachers of Marathi Literary Association. Devotional songs such as Bhajans and Abhangs were presented by students. The highlight of the program was the Kirtan by the chief guest, RJ Mrs. Madhura Prabhu Anaredy.

Marathi Literary Association popularly known as ‘Marathi Vangmay Mandal’ conducts various kinds of programs and competitions every year based on Marathi literature to inculcate and develop liking towards state language of Maharashtra i.e. Marathi. These programs include ‘Poetry Recitation Competition’, ‘Marathi Essay Writing Competition’, ‘Guest Lectures on various literary work in Marathi’ and also it celebrates on grand scale ‘Jagatik Marathi Bhasha Din’ i.e. ‘World Marathi Day’ on 27th February every year. Students from both B.Com and Self Finance Section take active part in all these activities which includes Non-Marathi students also.
