On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June,2025 DLLE students of Ghanshyamdas Saraf College, had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a tree plantation drive organized at INS Hamla by Subhajeet Mukherjee Sir. The event was a great initiative towards environmental conservation and spreading awareness about the urgent need to protect our planet.
A group of eight students from our college took part in the drive. The experience was not only memorable but also deeply inspiring. Subhajeet Sir enlightened about the current environmental challenges, emphasizing the importance of increasing green cover and taking individual steps to protect nature.
One of the highlights of the event was the plantation of 1101 Bougainvillea plants, specifically chosen to provide shelter and nesting spaces for small birds. This thoughtful action highlighted the importance of co-existence with wildlife and biodiversity conservation.
