Students Council of Ghanshyamdas Saraf College in association with Gujarati Literary Association organized Raas Garba to celebrate the festivities of Dussehra on Friday, 29thSeptember 2017 in the Durgadevi Saraf Auditorium. The day began with the Rangoli competition to commensurate the event between 9 am to 10.15 am with a turnout of 16 students from B.com and Self-Finance students participating for the same with creative ideas and thought-provoking slogans. Dr. Seema Agarwal & Prof. Avanti Sathe judged the competition.
The Raas Garba function was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Ashwat Desai & the Committee members. This was followed by the floor being set to open for dance to the tunes of a variety of songs played for the occasion. Garba competition for the Best Dancer & Best Costume in the male and female category was held with Prof. Nilima Majumdar & Prof. Daksha Kapadia judging the event for B.Com and Prof. Mamta Chhajer & Prof. Bhumika Shah judging the event for Self-Finance courses.
