Students of B.Com (Accounting and Finance) organized the departmental event “Finansiera 2019” on February 8, 2019, at Duragdevi Saraf Hall from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Finansiera this year was based on the theme WWF (Wellness Wellbeing Finance). WWF highlighted the importance of different aspects of wellbeing namely Financial, Environmental, Social, Intellectual and General which together can contribute towards the upliftment of the society.
Students performed the inaugural play “Let’s take you to Finansiera 2019” followed by the ribbon cutting from Principal of college C.A. Dr. Jayant Apte.
Around 132 Students from FY/SY/TY BCAF divided into 19 groups participated in this activity. Students displayed creative models and organised games to explain different aspects of wellbeing in an interesting manner. Moreover, lucky footsteps were awarded a small gift. Gaming activities like Debate, Extempore, Rapid Fire etc. were organised in the WWF Ring made at the Stage. Visitors also took selfies on the Photobooth with attractive props.
The event was judged by Dr. Lipi Mukherjee and Dr. Shripad Joshi with their complete time and energy. Prof. Bhavana Vaidya (Administrator GSCC, DSJC, and LRMC) and Dr. CA Jayant Apte (Principal) awarded certificates and prizes to all the winners and participants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by Prof. CA Gurunathan Pillai (Coordinator BCAF).
The enthusiasm and hard work of the students and teachers made Finansiera 2019 a huge success with more than 700 students, teaching and non-teaching staff attending the event.
