Students Council of Ghanshyamdas Saraf College organized Farewell Party for M.Com and TY students of B.Com, BCAF, BMS, BCBI, BFM and B.Sc(IT) on March 27th, 2018, at Durgadevi Saraf Auditorium from 9.00 am onwards. First and Second-year students of B.Com & Self Finance bid adieu to their seniors with great enthusiasm and nostalgia. The Theme for this year’s Farewell was”Journey from Unknown to Known” and touched upon moments in the lives of the students right from their first year in college where they walked in as strangers till the final year where all of them will now leave hand in hand as friends for a lifetime.
The gathering was welcomed by the I/C Principal, Prof Bhavana Vaidya & Vice-Principal Dr. Jayant Apte with their motivating & inspiring words of wisdom followed by the Chief Co-coordinator of Self Finance Department Dr. Lipi Mukherjee addressing the students and wishing them good luck for their future endeavors. First and second-year students left no stone unturned in entertaining seniors with their energetic and soulful Dance and Singing Performances. The highlights of the event were the Videos & Speech of College Memories presented by M. Com & Third Year Students which added life and emotions to the party.
Students of Third Year participated in the Personality Pageant which was judged by Dr. Lipi Mukherjee & Prof. Gurunathan Pillai for the students of Third Year B.Com. Kiran Gami & Kinjal Kavedia were crowned Mr. & Miss Farewell respectively in the B.Com section. The judges for the Self Finance courses were Prof. Payal Mane & Prof. Mansi Dangarwala. Rutansh Bhandari from TYBFMand Nishtha Jain from TYBMS was crowned with the title of Mr. and Miss Farewell respectively. Nishchay Agarwal from TYBMSand Madhavi Surolia from TYBFM was awarded First Runner-ups whereas Vipin Bhaskar and Shivani Chandora from TYBCBIwere awarded second Runner-ups in the Self Finance section. In the end, everyone rocked and rolled to the dance numbers played by the DJ team.
