The BMS program was introduced by the University of Mumbai in the year 1999-2000. It provides a basic understanding about management education amongst the students. It offers more of skill enhancement knowledge and helps in bridging the gap between theory and practice through a teaching pedagogy of case studies, projects, presentations, departmental events, etc.

Today, the corporate world is buzzing with cut-throat competition and anyone who has no niche skills is not deemed suitable for the job. This competition calls for professionally qualified graduates in the management sector who can take up the tasks and responsibilities of administrative jobs. Hence to meet this demand for professionally qualified management executives, the course has been especially designed to create middle cadre management professionals.

Program Outcomes

The BMS course curriculum includes internship programs, project work related to varied areas of management etc. This makes this course much in demand in the job market and also makes the BMS students highly compatible for the corporate world.

  • The BMS course offers specialisation in Finance, Marketing & HR right. Hence they are well versed in the chosen discipline by the time they attain their graduation degrees
  • BMS students who wish to pursue MBA or MMS are able to crack the entrance exam easily since they already have a strong base in management and thus can easily get admissions in top B- schools.
