Practical

  1. Practice to play full Tabla Lahra of a Samapadi and Bisamapadi Taal.
  2. Practice to play the Teehai of the following Taals
    1. Teen Taal ii ) Jhanp Taal, iii) Ek taal vi) Rupak taal, v) Chau taal
  3. Accompaniment with the song/bandish/gat in above taals
  4. Ability to play and say altogether any Bols of above Taals
  5. To play bols of any Taal of the above and previous year’s Taals with Harmonium
  6. Ability to play previous year’s syllabus with Thaay, Dwiguna, Teen Guna and chauguna laya
  7. Knowledge of Tabla and Pakhwaj tuning.
  8. Ability to play the Bhajan ( Bhajni Theka), Geet Ghazal, Qawali

Theory Oral

  1. Defination or Paribhasha : Definitions of all previous year’s syllabus.
  2. Ability to write Taal lipi of all previous year’s Prescribed Taals in the syllabus.
  3. History of Indian Rhythm. A comparative discussion of Hindustani and Carnatic Rhythm.
  4. Write a brief ( any one ) about 150 words about Indian rhythm player Ustad Jakir Hussain, Pandit Kumar Bose, Pandit Anindya Chattopadhyay, Pandit Samta Prasad, Ustad masit Khan, Ustad Muneer Khan, Modu Khan, Bakshu Kjhan, Raam Sahay, Aabeed Hussain
  5. Complete Introduction in writing taal lipi of i) Brahm Taal, ii) Dhumaali taal iii) Posta Taal iv) Deepchandi Taal
  6. Write a brief about Pt. VD Paluskar, and Pt. Bhatkhandeji
  7. Identify the Thekas of present and previous year’s Taal.
  8. Knowledge of the Taals that are used in accompaniment to the following style of singing
    1. Dhrupad ii) Dhamar iii) Hori, iv)Tappa

3. To Sing/play Chaturang and Tarana of the above Raag
4, Practice Tirobhab, Avirbhaab of any one of above Raags
5. Learning of Taal : i) Pancham sawari ii) Matta Taal, iii) Punjabi taal, iv) Rudra Taal, v) Laksmi Taal Ability to tell the Theka of Taal with Taali and Thaay / Dwigun laya
6. To play with theka i) Teen Taal, ii) Dadra, iii) Kerwa, iv) Jhap Taal and v) Ektaal
7. Identify the the Aalap of the above Raag.
9. Raag Comparisons: i ) Bhairavi- Malkauns ii ) Shankara- Bihag, iii) Asavari- Jaunpuri iv) Hameer- Kedar,
10 . Sugam Sangeet : One Semi Classical Song Thumri and Kajri of any one of the above Raag, One Himachal Pradesh or Odiya Folk Song

6. Compose a new song and make Swaralipi ( With out the support of Instrument ) .
