Who is eligible for Hostel accommodation?

  • All male students (pursuing any undergraduate or postgraduate course) of any stream are eligible for Hostel Accommodation. In addition, CA students on article-ship in Mumbai can apply for the hostel.

I am a working professional. Am I eligible for Hostel accommodation?

  • No, the hostel accommodation is only for students pursuing full-time course in Mumbai.

I am a trainee. Am I eligible for Hostel accommodation?

  • No, the hostel accommodation is only for students pursuing full-time course in Mumbai.

How do I apply for Hostel Accommodation?

  • The application process in online. Please visit the hostel website on www.rset.edu.in/jbbh/ and go to “Admission Form”. On submission of online form, you need to submit the supporting documents to the hostel admission in-charge. On submission of documents, you will get an SMS offering you admission to the hostel, if you are found eligible. The beds allocation will be done on basis of availability.

What are the documents required to apply for hostel?

  • Passport size photo of the student’s parents/local guardians.
  • Proof of correspondence addresses viz Ration Card, Telephone bill, Electricity bill, Aadhar card etc. of Parents and local guardians.
  • Photocopy of the “College Admission Fees” receipt.
  • A medical fitness certificate.
  • Copy of Medical Insurance of minimum Rs.1 Lakh for a year.

Is a local guardian must?

  • Yes. We need names and contact details of 2 local guardians, who can be contacted in case of any emergency.

What are the facilities available in the rooms and in the hostel?

  • All rooms are air-conditioned. Every room has bunk beds, a cupboard for each student, a drawer below the bed for each student. The bedding includes a pillow with cover and a bed sheet.
  • Every floor has a dedicated study area and a TV area.

Do I need to carry blanket or linen with me?

  • Yes, students should carry a blanket / linen.

How many students can be accommodated in the hostel?

  • The hostel can accommodate 152 students, on its 7 floors.

Are toilets attached to the room?

  • The toilets are located outside the rooms. For every 3 rooms in a wing, there are 3 toilets provided.

How often the bedding is changed/cleaned?

  • The bed sheets and pillow covers are changed every week.

What are the charges for the hostel accommodation?

How to pay the hostel fees?

  • The fees has to be paid online, using Net Banking, UPI, Debit Card or Credit Card.

Is food provided in the hostel?

  • Vegetarian breakfast and vegetarian dinner is served in the hostel cafeteria to all students. The charges are included in the hostel fees.

What are hostel timings?

  • Students have to report to the hostel latest by 10.30 pm and can leave in the morning after 5.30 am. Student have to make an entry into the student’s register every time they go out or come into the hostel. Students have to display their ID cards at the time of entry to the hostel.

What are the timings for breakfast and Dinner?

  • Breakfast is served from 6.45 am to 9 am and dinner is served from 7.30 pm to 10 pm.

Can I cook in the hostel?

  • An induction cooker and a microwave oven is provided in the hostel cafeteria for the use of students. One can use them to warm milk and for cooking. Students would need to bring their own utensils. A fridge is also provided in the cafeteria for the use of students.

Can I order food from outside?

  • Yes, one can order only vegetarian food upto 10.30 pm only.

Can I stay out of the hostel for one or more nights?

  • A night-out is permitted only with prior and written intimation from the parent.

Are visitors allowed in the hostel?

  • Visitors are permitted only till the ground floor lobby of hostel. Visitors are required to make the necessary entries in the visitor registers. Student are not allowed to take visitors to their rooms.
