Martyrs Day, Constitution Day and National Integration Day
Durgadevi Saraf Junior College’s NSS Unit (+2 level) celebrated Martyrs Day, Constitution Day and National Integration Day on 26th November 2022 in Durgadevi Saraf Hall. The event started at 3:30 PM. Our Vice Principal along with many other teachers paid tribute by lighting candles to all the officers and people who laid their lives to protect the civilians on 26th November 2009. Constitution Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm where one student read out the Preamble for everyone. Our teachers Mr. Munaf Tamboli, Ms. Apoorva Joshi, Mr. Suresh Khune and one peon, Mr. Gajanan Pundkar shared their views about the history and importance of the Constitution and also about our fundamental rights. After this, National Integration Day was celebrated in the most colorful way, where our students came dressed up in costumes of different states and performed on a patriotic song depicting Unity in Diversity. We have always learned and heard about freedom fighters because of which we are peacefully enjoying the taste of freedom today. But we fail to acknowledge those martyrs who have laid down their lives to keep our nation bound together. This completely explains the concept of Constitution which speaks of National Integration. The programme came to an end with National Anthem.
