About the College

DurgadeviSaraf Junior College was established in 1975. The College is named after Late Smt. DurgadeviSaraf, mother of Shri Mahavirprasad G. Saraf, the main donor of the College.

The College completes 45years of its glorious existence, imparting value – based education to around 3750 students in preparing them for Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of Maharashtra Board.

The College is a linguistic minority institution. It started with Commerce stream and gradually has also added Arts and Science streams to Junior College course.

The Motto of the college is “VidyaVinayenaShobhate” (Knowledge is enhanced by Humility alone).

The Mission is “Empowerment through Value-Based Education”.

It’s Vision is “Consistent Human Enrichment and Development, Setting higher and newer goals in the pursuit of Excellence”.

Today, it is housed in a six-storey building and is located at Swami Vivekanand Road, Opp. Bajaj Hall, Malad West, Mumbai – 400 064. It functions from 12:00 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. in two staggering sessions.
