A warm welcome to the website of Pravinchandra D. Shah Sports Academy!
Rajasthani Sammelan Education Trust has very aptly followed the English proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Hence along with providing the students education, the Management has also taken care of their physical well-being by providing them state of the art sports facility at Pravinchandra D. Shah Sports Academy which is named after my respected father Shri Pravinchandraji Shah.
The Academy was inaugurated on 18th April, 2015 by Shri Sujay Jairaj, Trustee, Jamnabai Narsee School at the educational campus of Rajasthani Sammelan Education Trust. It is indeed heartening to know that the Academy facilitates sports like basketball, volley ball, tennis, box cricket, futsal, skating etc. making it a new focal point of the campus. Specialized coaches have been appointed to give training to the students of the schools and colleges to nurture their talents in sports.
Ever since its inauguration, various sports activities have been carried out at PDSA. The ground is being used during the day time by the in-house students of the campus while opportunity is given to other organizations to conduct their sports activities in the evening. Reputed organizations have carried out cricket tournaments as a part of their team building activities. The Mayor Cup 2015 Football Tournament was played in PDSA last year.
I am indeed very happy to know that in its endeavour to promote Futsal among the youth, the Trust organized and sponsored a Futsal Tournament in which 32 teams from across Mumbai participated. I am sure that in the future, there will be many State and National level players and champions trained under PDSA.
