Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Ghanshyamdas Saraf College in association with Career Counselling Cell of ICAI organized two days workshop on GST for the TY students of B.Com and BCAF on July 7 and 8, 2018.<\/p>\n
On July 7, 2018 CA Archit Agarwal and CA Manoj Chauhan addressed the students. CA Archit’s talk helped students in understanding need for GST, Constitutional Amendment, Features of GST, Implications of GST, Transition to GST from existing practices, Tax Rates under GST and Return Filing under GST.<\/p>\n

On July 8, 2018 CA Vishnu explained the definitions under GST, the concept of supply (time, place, valuation), interstate supply, intrastate supply , structuring the transactions (IGST, CGST), Input Tax Credit, Reverse Charge, Registration procedure and Penalties under GST.<\/p>\n
All the three speakers explained the concepts in simple and interactive manner with real life practical examples to make students understand in a better way. The workshop was attended by around 90 students. The workshop helped students to have a better knowledge about the core concepts of GST and opportunities which have arisen due to implementation of this new tax regime.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
