Industrial Visit Committee and Placement Cell of Ghanshyamdas Saraf College organised an Industrial Visit to Henkel Adhesive Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. located at Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai on 12th March 2019. A total of 16 students from SY and TY accompanied by two faculty members attended this industrial visit.

\nThe group reached the plant at 10 a.m. and everyone was seated in the Conference Room. Then, the Students and faculty members were briefed about Henkel Ltd. by Finance Controller of Henkel Mr. Ravindra Chhajer. Mr. Ravindra discussed about Vision, mission of Henkel, major business lines and products manufactured by the company, key customers of the company, sales and earnings growth, business acquisitions and many other details via presentation and videos,? Thereafter, Plant head, Mr. Sandeep Panchpade explained about Kopar Khairane plant layout, products made in the Kopar Khairane plant, employee engagement activities and CSR activities taken by the company. He also instructed the group about safety measures to be taken during the site visit. After the presentations by controller and plant head, everyone was provided PPE%u2019s i.e. Personal Protective Equipment (viz shoes, glasses, jacket, helmet) to be worn at the time of visiting the production site.

\nMr. Sandeep Panchpade made the group visit Flexible Training Academy, Product Development Lab, Warehouse, Production facility of Adhesives manufactured on hot melt and solvent-based technology. During this site tour, the plant manager enlightened the group about the working of the plant, the order of the work, the conversion of the raw materials into the finished products, safety measures taken at the plant and all the other necessary details. All the students got an insight as to how the production activities are conducted and managed with the aid of technology.

\nThe inquisitiveness along with the precious efforts of the in-charges led to the successful completion of the industrial visit, with the students taking tons of knowledge home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
