3 Years Part Time Master's Degree Program


Globally, there is a revival of interest in executive education. As you rise up the corporate ladder, you feel the necessity of a management degree - not a certificate program, but a masters degree.

The Three Year Master's Degree courses - Masters in Marketing Management (MMM), Masters in Financial Management (MFM) and Masters in Human Resources Development (MHRDM), are designed by
the University of Mumbai with clear vision and objective of empowering promising executives, with practical experience, to earn a management degree while they continue to work.

We, at Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS), conduct these courses which are approved By Govt. of Maharashtra, DTE and affiliated to University of Mumbai.
The courses have been implemented keeping in mind your work schedule and more important, your commuting nightmare.
The classes are predominantly held during weekends so as to enable you to attend classes easily.

Admission:
The admission form is available on our website. Fill in application form and submit online. Application fee of Rs. 1000 should be sent by demand draft drawn in favour of “DSIMS “to the Institute Office along with the down loaded application form before the last date for submission of admission form. Forms received without application processing fee will not be considered for admission.

Applicants will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of data provided by the applicants in the application form.

Selected applicants shall have to appear for group discussion and interview. GD & PI will take place at DSIMS campus. The GD & PI interview schedule will be put up on the website and also intimated to you by email.

Number of Seats: 60 each in MMM, MFM and MHRDM

The Part time Masters courses follow the course structure set by the University of Mumbai.

The first three semesters in the Part Time courses are common across the disciplines. The first three semesters see a total of 17 courses spread over 18 months. These courses offer a grounding in the core disciplines of Management, enabling the executives to get a grounding necessary to perform in a complex integrated global environment.

The fourth and fifth semesters are the specialization semesters, where the executives immerse themselves in the specializations they have chosen.

The final semester is again a common one where the executives are groomed in the contemporary areas of management, and integrates the five semesters learning to provide a holistic corporate exposure.
A learner for being eligible for admission into the part time Post Graduate Management degree program ie. MFM/MMM/MHRDM/MIM shall have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination of the University of Mumbai or any other university recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum two years work experience at supervisory level.
The total fee per year is Rs. 65,000.00 plus library refundable deposit of Rs. 5,000.00

"If offered admission to the MMM/MFM/MHRDM program, a student will be given a deadline by which he/she should secure his/her seat by paying the fees before the last date given for payment of fees.

Students who wish to secure a loan will have to start the loan process well in advance to meet these deadlines. The necessary letter for bank loan shall be issued by the Office on demand.

Refund of Fees:
The refund of fees as applicable shall be made in due course. It is made clear that such application for cancellation will be considered only if the admission is confirmed by paying the prescribed tuition fee and other fees in full and by submitting the original documents. Refund shall be made after deduction of cancellation charges as shown below:

DSIMS offers three contemporary specializations in the areas of Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Development Management.

These specializations have been designed by the University of Mmbai. However, to make it relevant to the working executive, we have assimlated the course into or blended pedagogy.

The MMM course covers all the important areas in the subjects of Marketing. The course deals with almost all those topics which are necessary for marketing executives to move to top level of general management positions.
