Devang Mehta National Education Awards

Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies (DGMCMS) has received two prestigious Awards - the 'B-School Leadership Award' and the'Education Institute with the Best Academic Input (Syllabus) in Media & Communication' instituted by 'Devang Mehta National Education Awards' on 25th November 2016 during a glittering ceremony at The Taj Lands' End Hotel, Mumbai.

The awards are given on the basis of parameters like quality of the institute, academic leadership, institute development, faculty competency, students' development, among others. The awards indicate the emergence of DGMC as one of the best institutes in Media and Communication.

Higher Education review Awards
Added to the above, Higher Education Review has awarded DGMC the Management College of the Year-2016 (Media and Communication)'s for the positive impact the Institute has made on the Education Fraternity and the society.

Accolades

Puslela Number
The short film 'Puslela Number' made by Suraj Kharat, a student of MA(FTNMP)has been officially selected to 5 international and 4 national film festivals.

Here's a Synopsis of the Short film -
A polio vaccination program is being conducted by the health ministry of India. The film showcases an unusual incident that happens with one of the nurses while conducting the program.

The film has been selected for the following festivals:
2nd All Lights India International Film Festival, Hyderabad.
9th Jaipur International Film Festival, Jaipur.
5th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, Delhi
3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival
2nd Asia Youth Short film exhibition, China
Mine Friday Too National Film Festival
Shegaon National Short film Festival

His efforts were also lauded by the management at the recently concluded PGDM Convocation. His achievement has proved to be an inspiration for many of our students pursuing filmmaking.

Nikita Pawar dazzles at Beauty Pageant

Nikita's Journey at HONDA GLADRAGS MEGAMODEL PAGEANT
Being a contestant of the prestigious national pageant 'HONDA GLADRAGS MEGAMODEL 2016'(where stars are born), was an honour for Ms.Nikita Pawar, as aspirants from around the country had been auditioned by the renowned professionals of the glamour world.

According to Nikita, the PGDM second year student, each participant in the pageant was groomed to an exceptional level. Mrs. Maureen Wadia, the woman behind so many challenging and pretty faces like Aishwariya Rai, Lara Dutta,Kangana Ranaut, John Abraham, Sonu Sood, Vidyut Jamwal, Dino Morea and many more, not only trained the contestants for the pageant but also prepared them physically and mentally for glamour and entertainment world. She opined that Mrs. Maureen Wadia's boot camp (as she likes her training to be called) can change every model's/actor's life.

DGMC is proud of Ms. Nikita Pawar's achievement and wishes her all the best for the next stage of the pageant to be held in China.

Rangabhoomi
DGMC's Theatre Club led by Pradyumna Patil, a second year student of the BA FTNMP Course put together an impressive team of students that won the jury's appreciation at two prominent theatre festivals for their play titled 'Philips'. It narrated the story of a war veteran who brought revolutionary changes in the stage craft. The team was successful in translating the spirit and theme of the play onto the stage to everyone's great admiration.
